Health-Wellness Matters

Health-wellness really does matter. I struggled with my weight just about my whole life. I was always tired and not much energy. I tried everything I heard about with no results.

Now you are thinking this is for a diet sell. You couldn't be further from the truth. I did find a diet that worked for me after a lot of failures. I went from 215lbs to 120lbs.

Everything they say about staying active is true.

The risks of physical inactivity puts us at greater risk for:

(A)Heart Disease (B)Some Cancers (C)Diabetes

(D)Alzheimer's (E)Osteoporosis (F)Obesity

It's easy to add physical activity to your lifestyle.

If you haven't been active for years then start gently.

Thirty minutes a day is what the experts recommend.

Begin with a short five minute walk, and build up slowly to a full 30 minutes.

Here are some simple things you can begin with.

(1)walk upstairs – don't use escalator.

(2)walk to work or walk home.

(3)work in the garden.

(4)play with your pets outside, better yet if you have grandchildren or young children of your own you know how active they can be. Benefit from it and have fun at the same time.

(5)If you're like me between the ages of 50 and 70, half an hour of activity is beneficial.

There are lots of other ways of staying fit. Anything that has your body moving and bending is good for you.
