All of us are looking for ways on how to save on the high cost of fuel these days. You may not know the how to practical tips on ways you can use to save money on that high cost.

I've put together the one's I use because I know these really do work. By following the advice from these tips I use less gas per week which results in saving money.

This will also help to increase the life of your tries. Under inflated tires increase CO2 but over inflated tries can be unsafe so check your car manual for the correct tries pressure.

Every time you stop then start again in a traffic queue,your engine uses more. Keep an eye on the traffic ahead and slow down early by lifting your foot off the accelerator while keeping the car in gear.

In this way, the traffic may have started moving again by the time you approach the vehicle in front, so you can then change gear and be on your way.

Modern car engines are designed to be efficient from the moment they are switched on, so revving up like a Nascar in pole position only increases engine wear. Combining errands into one trip saves you time and money.

Trip planning ensures that traveling is done when the engine is warmed-up and efficient. With a little planning, you can avoid retracing your route and reduce the distance you travel as well. You'll not only save, but also reduce wear and tear on your car.

If you own more than one vehicle, drive the one that gets the best gas mileage whenever possible.
